THE WORD OF' THE HOLY FATHER TO THE TEACHERS OF THE "CENTRAL SPORTS SCHOOL"
THE NATURE AND AID OF SPORT IN THE COMPLETE FORMATION OF THE MAN.

     Yesterday, Sunday, the Holy Father received in private audience a number of the teachers in the "Central Sports School" of the Armed Forces of the U.S.A., who, at the conclusion of the course which they were giving in Rome, wished to present their devoted homage to the Highest Pontifex.
     They were led by Maj. E. Al Baggett, A. C., Commandant of the School, Maj. Alfred Frazin, his Assistant, and the Training Director H. W. Hargiss, and were accompanied by Prof. Guido Graziani as a representative of the Italian Sports Center and of the CONI (Italian Nat'l Olympic Committee).
     The professors in question, who enjoy worldwide reputation in their respective branches of sports, come from various universities in the United States. They are....... and come from the following Universities and Higher Institutes. . . .
     After having received the conventional homage of the individuals present, His Holiness was pleased to address to them the following significant words on the formative and educational importance of sports;......
     The Holy Father, after imparting the Apostolic Benediction, remained for a time talking with the distinguished teachers, all of whom wished immediately to express to the August Pontifex their most lively and sincere gratitude for what He had been pleased to say, with such deep understanding, regarding their life's vocation.
