Ted Bailey Letter
Ordway, Colorado
May 28, 1970
Coach
H. W, "Bill" Hargiss
Topeka, Kansas
Dear Bill:
Since leaving the K. S. T.
C. Campus, I have applied the strategy you taught me on the gridiron, to my encounter
with each day's living.
There were times when I imagined my
wife and kids were up in the bleachers watching, while I was performing on the field.
Many times with the going tough, I would hear you
say, "Ted, you can do it, get in there and go harder." Needless
to say this helped me get through the "Thirties", which were depression bound and
drought stricken.
My football days, which include Coaches and Teammates, are some
of my fondest memories.
Sorry I was unable to be there tonight, but wish you many more
happy re-unions.
Sincerely,
Ted Bailey
