Elwyn Dees Letter
Hanover, Ks
May 15, 1970 Mr. Bill Hargiss,
Lawrence, Ks.
Dear Bill:
I am sorry that I cannot be there with you for your evening of honor and appreciation.
Always will I remember the understanding and guidance you gave me, coming from the
small High School of Lorraine. I was fortunate to have you as my coach and to know
you as a man, and memories of those days have provided me with some happy "looking
back".
I had a hip fusion a year ago, to try to combat some severe arthritis damage
and it has not been particularly successful. Riding in a car is still not very comfortable
for me, even though we had to get a new car so that I could even get into one. We
have been hoping to drive to Lawrence for quite some time, and perhaps later this
summer we will be able to do it and will stop and see you.
Max joins me in sending our very best wishes, and we hope that we will be able
to see you this summer.
Most Sincerely,
Elwyn and Maxine Dees,
Rt. 2
