Elmer SchaakeElmer Schaake letter
From an open letter 1932

The three years in which I have participated in football at the University of Kansas have been the most pleasant years of my life.  The high type of morals and ideals, which characterize the coaches will inspire any athlete who takes part in any of the sports at Kansas.  The friendships I have made and the many people with whom I have come in contact will, undoubtedly, be of value to me in future years.

Elmer Schaake,
Honorary captain of the football team
1930, 1931, 1932
